El proyecto se ubica en una meseta del Morro Moreno, hoy Parque Nacional de la región de Antofagasta, en un área donde se realizan diversas actividades recreativas debido a su espacio disponible en horizontal, considerando la vertical del morro.

Encargo
​
El proyecto busca desarrollar un instituto de investigaciones botánicas en el contexto del Parque Nacional Morro Moreno, que pueda albergar a unas cincuenta personas entre científicos y funcionarios, esta instalación deberá desarrollar principalmente la colección de agua de nieblas para ser autosuficiente, de acuerdo al sector donde se ubica siendo Morro Moreno uno de los sitios donde se colecta la mayor cantidad de agua de niebla anualmente.

Propuesta
​
Se propone entonces un complejo arquitectónico que se divide en tres sectores o niveles. El nivel más bajo -soterrado- es donde se ubican las habitaciones y otros recintos de los investigadores y funcionarios, puesto que se requiere de una mayor protección ante la alta humedad nocturna -100%- mientras que en el nivel natural del terreno se mantiene la explanada existente, dando paso a un mirador y espacio para desarrollar las actividades preexistentes, y por último, en el tercer nivel se ubican las oficinas y el sistema de colector de agua nocturno y sombreadero diurno.

La propuesta busca desarrollar un sistema pasivo que logre abordar ambas condiciones -propias del Desierto de Atacama- y así permitir su auto valencia energética.
​
El sistema completo del proyecto se basa en la geometría del Macro diamante, idea desarrollada por el físico y matemático profesor Carlos Espinosa A. Este sistema trabaja con la tridimensionalidad de la nube, permitiendo además otros aspectos de notable importancia, como por ejemplo su sistema modular, como también el sistema de armado y desarmado, debido a su sistema de uniones, que permiten situarlo en lugares de características extremas, como lo es Morro Moreno.

The project seeks to develop a botanical research institute in the context of the Morro Moreno National Park, which can house about fifty people among scientists and civil servants, this installation should mainly develop the collection of mist water to be self sufficient, according to the sector where Morro Moreno is located, one of the sites where the largest amount of fog water is collected annually.

Proposal
​
It is then proposed an architectural complex that is divided into three sectors or levels. The lowest level - underground - is where the rooms and other rooms of the researchers and officials are located, since it requires greater protection from high night-time humidity -100% - while in the natural level of the terrain the Existing esplanade, giving way to a viewpoint and space to develop pre-existing activities, and finally, in the third level are the offices and the system of night water collector and daytime shade.

The proposal seeks to develop a passive system that manages to address both conditions - typical of the Atacama Desert - and thus allow its energetic self-esteem.
The complete system of the project is based on the geometry of the Diamond Macro, idea developed by the physicist and mathematician Professor Carlos Espinosa A. This system works with the three-dimensionality of the cloud, also allowing other aspects of remarkable importance, such as its modular system , as well as the system of armed and disarmed, due to its system of unions, which allow it to be placed in places with extreme characteristics, such as Morro Moreno.
